Emily sat on the kitchen table waiting for dad to pull her front tooth out. I told her of a time when I was a child and tripped and fell out in the yard, slicing my head open. Because my dad was a doctor he laid me on the kitchen and with all of my siblings watching, he stitched my wound together. A moment of silence passed and then Emily said, "Well if he is a doctor, why does work in the Temple?"

She is adorable. Another question I often ask now of Jay, but years ago of your dad, “If he is a doctor, why does he work a ranch????” Hope the tooth pulling was fast and easy!
Creed is studying Utah history in 4th grade, and their class is on the occupations and industry unit. He's been asking about careers and what sorts of jobs family members have. When I told him grandpa was a doctor he said, so is his occupation a doctor or a temple president? So glad dad's been fantastic at both
