I love hosting the Christmas Eve Party. Every five years it is our turn and it makes me nostalgic when I see the changes in our family that have occurred during those years. The last time we hosted, all of my children still lived at home that year. Karin had entered her freshman year at BYU and Emily was just a toddler.
I do believe that the prettiest Christmas decorations I have are the people who visit our home.
I love these next few pictures I took of people just visiting with each other. Every year there is a different group depending on which grandchildren can come for the holiday. Everyone is excited to see and share with each other.
Grandma and Anne
Steve, Marie and Noah
Ellen and Jeff
Lucky, loving cousins
I'm so glad that we get to know in-laws and great-grandchildren.
Ben, Scott and Noah
Chase
Thomas and Mark have always been buds. They wrote each other pretty faithfully when Mark was serving as a missionary. I've saved those letters and I know Thomas will enjoy reading them again some day.
Emily sharing "Jingle Bells"
Thomas sharing his poem "The Theater of Dreams" about Old Trafford and Manchester United
Anne & Ty
Ty brought his indoor pipes

It looks so festive! Those are my favorite kinds of celebrations...ones including traditions and lots of family members. Glad it was so merry!
