This is How Rumors Get Started

So to understand this post you'll have to read Karins' post about babysitting her siblings. After she posted her blog, one of her former young women's leaders read it and left a comment for her on facebook telling her what a great mommy she is. Before we knew it, a friend (formerly in our ward now residing in Utah), commented back, "are you talking about Karin Rowan, I didn't know she was a mommy." So if you hear anything.....

Anyway, we had a great get away, I'm reading Gone With the Wind and loved reading uninterrupted.

Here is what I did today...laundry. Can you believe I washed everything the day we left and I was only gone 3 days. I need a maid.

vocalise said...: Cute rumor story. Too funny. I read Gone With The Wind one summer during college. I remember being startled at one point because I was so 'into' it that when the cannons (in the book) were being shot off during the war, I thought sound came with the book. This Makes Me Happy

What color of make-up do you wear?

Emily takes gymnastics lessons. We've missed a few classes this summer and so last week we went to a make-up class. I was worried that Emi might not participate in a different class where she didn't know the other students, but she was so excited to go to class. She did great and willingly did everything that little gymnasts do. After class, we were walking hand in hand to the car and she asked me, "Mom, when do we get to put on the make-up?" I laughed but also felt bad because I knew then that she had been so excited because she thought she was going to a "make-up" class.

10 Games to Go

We only have 10 games left of our baseball season and what a great season it has been. It may never get better than this. Good times, good times. Scott pitched a winning game last week, went the whole game and threw 103 pitches (ouch!). Doug's team won league and he'll be the starting pitcher in this week's tournament championship game. Thomas is playing for the "Boston Red Sox" with his little league team. In his last game he walked to get on first, stole second, stole third and stole home with a nice slide (only in little league). It's been so fun to have Karin home in the cheering section. All the boys want her there to watch and of course she is the transportation to after game ice cream celebrations. It's so cool to have an older sister. Atta Babe!
