Confession

This confession is in response to an e-mail from Marie. While she is a thoroughly modern woman, she has yet to begin blogging. She sends everything out by e-mail and recently commented that perhaps she should blog and then only those who are truly interested in her life would tune in to see what is going on. Well, I have no doubt that most of us who receive her e-mails are glad to have them, but here is where my confession comes in. I have a secret blog. Don't worry, there is nothing scandalous to be found there; in fact if "the hackers" read it (because I'm sure it's not that secure), they will only be converted to the gospel. However, I started blogging with the idea of keeping in touch with my family that lives far away from me. It is fun to send pictures and share little stories that happen and I would never make all the phone calls to share these things with all my siblings and parents. Several of them also blog and I enjoy seeing their lives and watching their children grow. So why do I keep a secret blog? Well, like Marie, sometimes I have more to share than I think others could bare and I don't want to force my life on everyone else. So "the rest of the story" is kept to myself as well as tender mercies and meaningful things to me. It's been a fun way to keep a journal. I'm trying to do what President Eyring did, record daily (or at least often) ways that the Lord shows his concern and love for me. Sometimes I write in a journal I keep with me, but because I am so modern, I enjoy the blogging style too.

That's funny, I have a secret blog too...although I haven't been keeping up with it as much as it sounds like you have. Its easier for me to type something on my blog than write in a journal for sure.

I'm deeply offended, sis. I thought we decided a long time ago that there would be no secrets between us. Oh well, I guess I won't mention my super-top-secret-classified-level-5 blog.

You mean people don't want to know everything about me? I'd never thought of that before....:)

I'm sure your thoughts are treasures.
